Guy Fawkes visited the school today to tell us all about his gunpowder plot. He even showed us how to write secret messages using lemon juice or a special code called a cipher. We enjoyed hearing about his plans, acting out the plot, creating some secret messages and learning about his clothing and some artifacts from the 15th century.
To celebrate the end of term and give our Year 6 leavers a good send off, Kerri, our school cook, organised a whole school picnic. All children and staff helped themselves to the fabulous buffet and enjoyed their picnic on the school field. Luckily the rain stayed away!
Last week we held our first ever Summer Play-scheme week. The children enjoyed many different activities including papier mâché , cooking, painting, colouring, sports games and we even had a party!
The scheme was a huge success with around 20 children attending each day.
We would like to thank the children for a very enjoyable week and we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
Enjoy the rest of the summer everyone!
