Childcare Provision

Primary Schools are now required to publish alongside their Performance information a list of their childcare provision making it easier for parents to know what is available.

St Andrew’s Primary School offers a full range of childcare provision which we have listed below:

Free Breakfast Club

Due to COVID-19 restrictions our breakfast club facility will only be open to children of working families and those who have a social or family worker. Breakfast club will re-open 7th September 2020. Places will be limited and parents must book in advance by calling the school office on 01388 605385. Normal breakfast club activities will not take place to ensure social distancing between wider bubbles.

Breakfast club is open to all children from 8am-8:45am.

We serve a FREE healthy breakfast to children attending breakfast club, thanks to The Greggs Foundation.  Breakfast club runs from 8am to 8:45am with last food being served at 8:30 followed by fun activities.  We offer cereals, yoghurt, toast, fruit, fruit juice and milk and occasional treats of pancakes and/or fruit smoothies. Children can have slices of toast with a range of low fat spreads, cereal, yoghurts or pancakes; all for free! The children enjoy the breakfast club and lots of social skills are taught alongside healthy eating. Supervised activities include, Wake up Shake up, dance, play dough, creative and games.

After School Clubs

Due to COVID-19 restrictions we will not be providing our usual after school clubs. From September 14th 2020 we will only be offering after school child care for children from working families and those with a social or family worker. Children will remain in their wider bubbles until 4pm and will use this time catch up on home learning activities such as reading and online learning programmes.
Places will be limited and parents must book in advance by calling the school office on 01388 605385.
