Class 2

Hello, my name is Miss Hezmalhalch and I am the teacher in Class 2. I have worked at St. Andrew’s Primary School for 3 years and have been teaching for 12 years.  In addition to teaching Years 2 and 3, I am the English, DT and Rights Respecting lead for our school.

As well as these subjects, I am passionate about reading, walking and travelling to new countries.  In my spare time, I love to go for long walks and explore the coastal areas of Northumberland.

In Class 2, we have high expectations and follow our class charter to help us learn in a happy, secure, caring environment of mutual trust and respect.

I believe that it is important to provide innovative, interesting, engaging, challenging and child centred learning which meets the needs of each individual child in order to help nurture wonderful and creative thinkers. My aim is for every child in my class to be given the best possible learning opportunities and reach their full potential.

Mrs Heslop and Miss Richardson work extremely hard with the children in Class 2, offering support in lessons and helping us maintain a happy and productive class.

In Class 2, we will learn:

  • Multiplication and division facts for the 2, 5 and 10 times tables
  • A range of punctuation and conjunctions
  • To read a range of texts with fluency and confidence
  • About a wide range of interesting topics

For homework, children will need to:

Read a range of texts to develop word recognition, fluency and vocabulary

Timetables- Recall of multiplication and division facts for 2, 5 and 10 times tables.

Should you need any other information whilst your child is in Class 2 please don’t hesitate to contact me on Class Dojo or make an appointment to come and see me.

Penny Pot Appeal

In Class 2 our class text is called ‘The Big Book of the Blue’. We are fascinated in learning about different sea creatures.

Did you know that 8 million tons of plastic enter our oceans every year? This is devastating! It is harming and even killing the sea creatures. As a class we have decided that we want Plastic Ocean UK as our Penny Pot charity.

Please help us save our pennies to help us save our world! Thank you.
